Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

No. I haven't solved the papers yet but it's not part of the SYLLABUS.

    Physics Help.. Again.

Better ask someone else. Can't help here, sorry.

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

The initials from Fundamental Chemistry, the extra details from the internet; I read it a couple of months ago along with Hydrogen's potential of being a renewable energy source.

For the first row, it's quite obvious that all the current passes through filament F since the switch is open and no current passes through filament G. So, 4.6 and 0. For the second row; we know that if 12V is applied across the filament, a 4.6A current passes through it, since the two filaments...

    Physics Help.. Again.

I guess not since it uses the mains supply for electricity but I don't know for sure.

    Physics Help.. Again.

Yeah, sorry Asma. They're wrong. Proper examples would be; drills, hair dryers, sewing machines and certain toys.

    Physics Help.. Again.

That's the problem. I read about their properties somewhere and so was confused. Yeah I get it. Thanks.

    Physics Help.. Again.

Well, that's 2 years from now, and I know what you mean. :p My examples are lame and in fact are wrong, I know.

Since the ratio is 1:1, Taking atomic and molecular mass, 24g Mg + Excess Air ----> 24+16 = 40g MgO Hence, 24g Mg ----> 40g MgO Simplifying, Mg ----> 5/3 g MgO Given, 12 kg Magnesium reacts, Therefore, 12kg Mg ----> 5/3(12)kg MgO 12kg Mg ----> 20kg MgO Applying Percentage Yield = Theoretical...

Your correct in what you said but the question is that how can photosynthesis be used as a renewable resource, that means that we need to describe how the process of photosynthesis, its products, reactants can be used to produce energy for our use.

Biology; Chemistry; Physics: Post your doubts here!

I don't know too much about this but; it is a renewable resource since sunlight and air are two things that will never end (hence renewable), it uses the phenomenon of converting Light energy (sun) to Electrochemical energy, this process produces much more energy than other known renewable...

Maths, Addmaths and Statistics: Post your doubts here!

You can write both but you MUST describe them correctly, i.e. Reflection with line of reflection y=x OR A stretch with y-axis invariant line and stretch factor -1.

DC motors use the phenomenon; Mechanical Energy = Magnetic Energy + Electrical Energy. It produces mechanical energy i.e. movement in form of rotation, it is used in many household appliances, for example, blender, toys (that move on motions), juicer, etc. Its pretty much used in anything that...

    Physics Help.. Again.

They are easy. Just remember: Gamma rays - G-M tube. X-Rays - Flourescent, Photographic Plates. Ultra Violet - Photographic Film. Light - Eye, Photographic Film. Infra Red - Thermometers (Blackened) (They change reading quickly in presence of infra-red waves), Special Photographic Films. Radio...

    Physics Help.. Again.

Its not there in the syllabus but when I was solving the past papers, I came across a question which asked how to detect X-rays, so its better that you learn at least one method for each.
