    well at times we tend to read quran to read as much as we can (i.e. reach end of surah) without...

    well at times we tend to read quran to read as much as we can (i.e. reach end of surah) without stopping and trying to understand what we read... that doesn't purify the heart or soften it.. may Allah make us of those who read quran with understanding and act on it n have soft hearts.. aameen.

    hmm.. there is one thing that came to my mind reading this.... quran is pretty awesome... when we read surah fatiha.... it says: "Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, ..." notice the past tense... it's coz our real role models are in the past...
