That isn't how it is calculated. The maximum raw mark is always 200.

For example Yes They take 30 percent and put it in the 200 mark (for paper 1 )

to be exaCT NOt 200 but the highst markss in the world is said to be 100 percent

How is it calculated then if the total of the 3 papers is not out of 200?

The exact process is not known to me, but it's something like this:

• Difficulty of the papers are determined.
• Scale factor is calculated based on the difficulty.
• The scale factor is multiplied with the marks.
• The marks is now placed on a total of 200.

Not entirely sure, but that's the general idea.

It will be high this year so that it can be lower for 2015 when the syllabus will change thats my gut feeling

i think threshold biology will be low this year (especially variant 1) i knw majority of the girls in my centre didnt even finish it they ran out of time as it was too long!
and many found it hard as well!
