Leaf discs can be used to determine the effect of a variable on the rate of photosynthesis.
The discs can be cut from the leaves using a cork borer or a large plastic drinking straw. The
discs are then placed in a syringe and the syringe slowly filled with water or very dilute sodium
hydrogencarbonate (NaHCO3) solution. Air inside the syringe is expelled by pushing in the plunger.
Air is then drawn out of the intercellular air spaces of the leaf discs by applying your finger firmly
to the nozzle and attempting to withdraw the plunger. As the air is drawn out, the leaf discs sink
and are then ready to use.

in question one,,,,,will we be doing this......placing plant tissue in to different sucrose solutions for same amonut of time....we ll have two test ubes filled of sucrose soln for each conc.....from on we we ll obtain getting the colored drop ...and in other one we ll place it and use it for measuremnts of rate of measuremnet

critical values corresponding to probabilities are given.....if ur value is greater than it then results are significant

how do you find out degree of freedom from tables?

For t test it's number of samples -2 and for chi it's number of classes -1

question 3 b(ii) please... is the probability greater or less than 0.001????

its less than 0.001 as our value of xhi squared of 39.9 is lesser than 45.31 from 0.001 coloumn

no its not like that....we just look at the 2nd degree of freedom row. 39.9 is more than 13.82 so the probability is less than 0.001 maybe 0.0001 or 0.00001... because the values are increasing from left to right

(n1-1) + (n2-1) = (20-1)+(20-1)=38
basically u just add them and then subtract da final answer wd 2....
hope it helpd

If the degree of freedom is 38 and the table at 0.05 only shows 40 & 30 ... should i pick 40 or 30
