Zinc Blende=ZnStell in an easy way ... how is zinc extracted from zinc blende ?
Zinc Blende=ZnS
Heat Zinc Blende in Oxygen so that it oxidizes to Zinc Oxide (ZnO)
Reduce the Zinc Oxide using Carbon Monoxide (CO)
The reaction is:
ZnO+CO---->Zn+CO2
Simple enough?
