first..u need 2 find d equation 10-5x by substituting d x n y values n draw d straight line aftr plottin 3 points..aftr dt u c wr d 2 equation lines meet each odr n dts d answer...dr cud b mor dn 1 ansr..hop dis ans helped u!View attachment 42082
Awesome12 Can you briefly explain how will we do this on the graph? the left part pf the equation is the graph's eqn.
but its only for one mark. plus, i guess the eqn would be y=10-5x?first..u need 2 find d equation 10-5x by substituting d x n y values n draw d straight line aftr plottin 3 points..aftr dt u c wr d 2 equation lines meet each odr n dts d answer...dr cud b mor dn 1 ansr..hop dis ans helped u!
is dis igcse r o level question..nywy dis is d method u hav 2 dobut its only for one mark. plus, i guess the eqn would be y=10-5x?
idk which ppr is it?how to checkfreq density = freq/class width
try to apply here, it doesn't work :/
y cant we simply find using d ratio of freq:height?See calculate the frequency density for 60-80
It is 0.7
However on the histogram, they have made it 2.8
thus the ratio is
0.7 : 2.8
For example for the group 120-150
f.d = 32/30
= 1.0667
Thus on the histogram, it will be
0.7 : 2.8
1.0667: x
Cross multiply and find x. Do this for the other values
Well we were supposed to do that, but the question itself states that for a f.d x, the height drawn will be y, and thus we need to keep this ratio constanty cant we simply find using d ratio of freq:height?
how u got 6, 4*2=85 (a) 27/x, as imagine you have spent $10 on toffees. Each toffee costs $x ( lets say $2). Thus you will have 10/2 = 5 toffees
(b) 25/x-2, as stated above

There is 2x on the left side. Thus -8x+2x = 6xhow u got 6, 4*2=8
ita act. simple..first u need 2 substitue 2 values for n..4 example 2 and 3 dn u wud get a imultaneousequation..nw u cn easily find a and b.
thank u very muchFirstly, xy=5cm2, therefore y=5/x .
Then, Y(x+2)=6, so Y=6/(x+2).
According to that, y+Y=1 will become (5/x) + (6/(x+2)) = 1.
After that taking the LCM of the fractions, we will get (5x+10+6x)/(x^2 + 2x) =1
Simplifying that, (11x + 10)/(x^2 + 2x) = 1.
Take the denominator over to the other side, making 11x + 10 = x^2 + 2x
Move everything over to the other side: x^2 + 2x - 11x -10 = 0
Upon simplifying, you will finally get x^2 -9x -10 = 0
Hope I helped!
y a i got...thanx loadzita act. simple..first u need 2 substitue 2 values for n..4 example 2 and 3 dn u wud get a imultaneousequation..nw u cn easily find a and b.
a x 2cube+b x 2cube+ 2/6=5 and a x 3cube+b x 3cube+ 3/6=14..so nw simplify it n sove the equation....i hope u got it
guys don forget to lrn all d formulae n know hw to describe all d angles(interior, alternate and allied)There is 2x on the left side. Thus -8x+2x = 6x
aftr knowin dt AB is 6cm u hav to use d similarity rule so u'll do 4/6*18.9..dts d ans..if u din ndrstand dn let me know..plzzView attachment 42136
