1- I have a force -extension graph with the following input: FORCE (N): 1,2,3,4,5,6. EXTENSION (m) : 0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08,0.011,0.15. what is the spring constant?
2- Find out the energy transferred to the spring at 1N and 4N using the formula 0.5*k*x^2

1. From the equation F = kx. => k = F/x. (where k is spring constant). If at 1N force the extension is 0.02m then the spring constant would be : k = F/x
k = 1/0.02 => 50.
2. The energy transferred is simple: (0.5*spring constant* extension at the force required) ------- 0.5*50*(0.02)^2 => 0.01J. # for force = 1N
and 0.5*50*0.08^2 => 0.16J # for force = 4N.
