It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath

his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection,

And he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

I sorta agree.. It's not Only about Allah.... Even we are told "O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah , and remember Allah often that you may succeed." (62:9-10)

See in the sight of muslims the purpose of life is to worship their creator and to keep remembering and thanking Him... So whatever we do we try to do it in a way that's pleasing to Allah so that it counts as worship (eg. we earn but lawfully so He is pleased, etc). How do we know what is pleasing to Allah? well we go to the Quran which is His Speech(in orignal arabic)... It is filled with miracles to proove that it's from God.. all sorts of miracles: linguistic, scientific, historic, prophecies... etc.. It's a pretty awesome book as an advice on how to live life.

i didn't deleted any comment, the mods here deleted it. they thot it might offend u. i was saying dat every1 has a right to speak of his/her mind. this place shud be secular. nd one shud be allowed to present his views in some well defined boundaries. but mods can judge wrongly sometimes nd may edit or delete comment tryin to avoid fights n all which is not really fare. nd ur cocnern over here is right dat its ur right to knw something or not. u can simply ignore dre posts if u dnt like it, u can contribute what u want to say about any topic rather then just simply disliking other person views n beliefs. but one shud not try to impose or stress so much about his beliefs. one shud take it easy and allow healthy discussion to take place.

You're not bound to see 'those talks', dear. It's an open forum; everyone is free to talk about their religion. We're doing that. What are you jealous of!

yeah but where is the issue. u have the right to express ur views and beliefs as well. so u tell us ur perspective regardin the topic in your religion. i would love to know it caz i like studying comparative religion.
