One of my teacher says that it does not gives a good impression to leave the lines given in Islamiat and Pakistan studies paper.I want to ask is there some negative effect it has and from 2012 onwards how many lines are given for 4 mark,7 mark and 14 mark q in p1 of Pak studies and Islamiat 10 mark and 4 mark q?
It is also said that its not permissible to ask for extra sheets and we can only write on lines and writing on any blank space either at the last page or at the end of the q and starting of the new q is not allowed?Pleas guide me its urgent

It depends on the font size of ur writing. Examiners only see level of answer not words or space. Nothing gives bad impression but those things which are not recommended in examiner reports.

Well, sides of page outside lines and backside of page are not scaned thus not visible to the examiners. secondly, you can not write answer of any question on remaining space of another one as each question is checked separately.
As far as extra sheets are concerned, everyone who relied too much on extra sheets got less grades this time. I did not use extra sheet at all and I got 3A*s. My friends who had smaller writing and did not wrote on extra sheets scored better than those who performed better in class but used extra sheets. Better to write in given space.

This is all s*** false...!!! You can write as short as you can ..!! You must fulfill the need of question and satisfy the checker!!
I just gave the Islamiat Paper-Got A(Masallah)
I only filled 75% of one page in 10 mark question and wrote only 4 lines in all other questions!! (I would say write as short as possible and answer to the point!!! Same goes for PST!!)

i say the same :)
please read again. i said that length does not matter and if examiner gives you, for example 10 lines, he wants you to be not more than 10 lines but if you can convey the meaning in less words and space than that is better.

can someone just tell me how many words should i write for 10 marks question

it doesn't matter as much as what you write. look at the marking schemes; your examiner is looking for certain points to give you credit on... if you have those points in your answer you are given the marks for it.
for a 10 mark question maybe they have 6 points in mind (let's assume each have 2 mark); from those if you mention 3 points you get 6/10 marks. then they can have more marks for your evaluation etc.
making the answer longer or shorter isn't the idea rather it should be correct.

for instance:

‘Disagreement over the future role of central government in the subcontinent was the main
reason for the breakdown of the Gandhi–Jinnah talks in 1944.’ How far do you agree with this
statement? Explain your answer. [10]

Mark Scheme:

Target: AO1, AO2

Level 5 (10 marks) Explains with evaluation/ judgement
Explanation at the top of Level 4 with an evaluation/judgement supported by
relevant and accurate contextual knowledge

Level 4 (7ñ9 marks) Explanation of both sides of the issue
 one explanation of each side of the issue [7]
 two explanations or one developed explanation of one side of the issue
and an explanation of the other side of the issue [8]
 additional explanation(s) and/or developed explanation(s) from either side
of the issue [9]
Supported by relevant and accurate contextual knowledge

Level 3 (4ñ6 marks) Explanation of one side of the issue
 one explanation [4]
 two explanations or one developed explanation [5]
 additional explanation(s) and/or developed explanation(s) [6]
Supported by relevant and accurate contextual knowledge

Level 2 (2ñ3 marks) Identification/ description of the issue
Identifies and/or describes the issue using relevant and accurate contextual
knowledge (1 mark per identification/ description)

Level 1 (1 mark) General answer
Valid general comment lacking specific subject knowledge

Level 0 (0 marks) No creditable response

Indicative content

May agree that the disagreement over the future role of central government in
the subcontinent was the main reason for the breakdown of the Gandhiñ
Jinnah talks in 1944:
 Gandhi wanted central government to have control over defence and
foreign policy
 Jinnah thought such matters should be in the hands of local government
and/or provinces

counter-arguments might include:
 Gandhi felt that partition should not be discussed until after the British
left India. Jinnah wanted partition before the British left as Congress
were unlikely to agree to it once the British had gone.
 Gandhi considered himself to be speaking for all of India. Jinnah
reminded him that, as a Hindu, Gandhi was only the spokesman of
Congress.
 Gandhi and Jinnah disagreed over the ëTwo-Nationí Theory which had
become official Muslim League policy.

Other relevant responses should also be credited.
