Dude, this isn't like the typical questions of an object attached with two strings. The problem is that I can't solve this question, that's why I've posted it over here. =/ And I know that I didn't get any reply on this cuz whoever saw this post, they weren't able to solve it. If you can, gimme the solution.

since ring R is smooth tension along ra and RB are equal so that RA=RB

It's from winter 2001 paper 4. There's no confusion in it now. =)

Because the string is only one (this definitely means that tension WILL be same in the whole string) and the ring is smooth.
