My past experience on XPF says that...that was only to help u....

we can use
work done by driving force=(gain or loss in pe and ke)+work done by frictional force
we know that work done by driving force is zero since he is free wheeling
find the loss in ke which will be 2240
so
0=-2240+wd against resistance
we also know the that the friction is the same as the AB part so to find the friction u must use ur ans from part i/250 since work done =force *distance
so that will leave u with 2240=friction(which i just told u how to find it out above)*d
