apply the BEDMAS rule
u first solve Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction

2/5 [12p-5-2p]
2/5 (12p-2p-5)
2/5 (10p-5)
multiply 10p by 2/5 which is 4p
multiple -5 by 2/5 which is -2

thus the answer is 4p-2
 so when we will solve the brackets so the mark + will be converted into - ?

 so when we will solve the brackets so the mark + will be converted into - ?
no not neccessarily
for example u have
-(x-6) = -x+6
a
minus, minus will make plus
plus, plus will make plus
minus, plus will make minus
plus, minus will make minus

so above the sign outside is (-) and x is positive/plus so from above;

minus, plus will make minus
as a result -x

u can further simplify the equation -x+6, by dividing the equation by -1 to get
-1(-x+6)

=x-6

its just like that the minus sign with the brackets...
2 by 5 [12p - (5 + 2p)]. ?
... will be multiplied with the + sign and we get the - sign. ok? we can say we have "-1" instead of only "- sign" because if u multiply anything with 1 the value doesnt change. so, we wwill multiply -1 with +5 ...
[2 by 5 [12p - (+5 + 2p)]. ?
... and we get -5, then we will multiply -1 with +2p and we get "-2p"
is it ok?
