I am having a bit of problem regarding definitions in A-Level Physics. For instance if the question in Paper 2 asks us to define "Moment of a force" then can we simply write "Force x Perpendicular distance" or do we need to explain it in the full length as "Moment of a force is defined as the product of the force and the perpendicular distance between the line of action of the force and the pivot." Moreover the marking scheme suggests to provide marks for the first definition itself. So which one am I supposed to write? Will I be awarded full marks for the first one too? Thank you.
