Q: why is aluminum less corrosive then iron?
Q: why do ionic compounds have high melting/boiling points?
Q: name the force that attracts each molecule in all covalent substance.
Q: name the process in which algae grows on fresh water due to presence of fertilizer and results in the reduction of marine life.
Q: why is argon blowed into the reactor when sodium reacts with titanium(IV)chloride TiCl4
answer these five questions to test urself! .......more soon

Q: why is aluminum less corrosive then iron?
A:Haven't covered it yet I think.Or is it because one is a metal and one is a ..nvm
Q: why do ionic compounds have high melting/boiling points?
A:Because they have strong intermolecular forces of attractions.
Q: name the force that attracts each molecule in a covalent substance.
A:Van der Wall's forces
Q: name the process in which algae grows on fresh water due to presence of fertilizer and results in the reduction of marine life.
A:Haven't covered
Q: why is argon blowed into the reactor when sodium reacts with titanium(IV)chloride TiCl4
A:Haven't covered or I forgot? :p

1) Aluminium has an oxide layer
2) Inter molecular forces are strong
3)Van der Wall's forces
4) Eutrophication
5) To make an inert environment / reduce reactivity

OK here I go :)

Q: why is aluminum less corrosive then iron?

----It's because of the protective layer it forms...which helps resist corrosion!!

Q: why do ionic compounds have high melting/boiling points?

----it's bcoz of the strong attraction between the positive and negative ions

Q: name the force that attracts each molecule in a covalent substance.

----intermolecular forces

Q: name the process in which algae grows on fresh water due to presence of fertilizer and results in the reduction of marine life.

----Eutrophication

Q: why is argon blowed into the reactor when sodium reacts with titanium(IV)chloride TiCl4

----hmmm...this one i dont know

by the way it says name the force...and now i got it.....it actually depends on the compound it's not always van der waals but...i understood...the answer to my question is...this all is there for A levels...i mean the type of intermolecular forces....so for this level i think that's alright :) or might be i'm wrong...cuz i too have just studied this topic recently :) but i dont think so :p

@ chem master........if u have'nt met this b4 then try it must
this is one of the most frequently asked equation in o level paper (mcqx)
Copper+nitric acid---->copper(II)nitrate+nitrogen dioxide(no2)+h2o
try balancing it.......its smwhat tough from the normal ones u try.....

1) because of more reactivity it form a protective layer of Aluminium oxide.
2)its force of attractions due to tarnsfer of electrons is higher.
3)Van der waal
4)Eutrophication
5)no idea......but as argon is non reactive it can be blown as medium of reaction :p

The answers you provided and the ones I gave are same. You simply gave them in a little different perspective and a bit of different / detailed wording ...

Oh well, moving on!
