make sure all the units are in meters!!!
λ = 630 / 1000 000 000
n= 2
sinθ = (162 - 136) / 2
then find ur d, which is equal to 5.6*10^-6 m!!

here, u subtract the area of the cylindrical rod by the area when the rod is under tensile stress
---->from the graph, the tensile stress is 9*10^8 Pa...this is when the rod has the smallest cross sectional area (due to necking)
stress= force / area
area= force/ stress
force = 1.9*10^3 N
stress = 9*10^8 Pa
so ur area will be 2.11* 10^-6 m^2

so (3.2*10^-6) - (2.11* 10^-6) = 1.2*10^-6m^2!!

Thanx very much for your help once again

wavelength is the distance between 2 points on 2 successive waves
so we use fig 4.2 cuz the x-axis is the distance
so lets take 2 crests, and find the distance between then
u'll get 7.5 cm

Do you devide by 2 because 2 is the order of spectrum or do you have to do that always?

u ALWAYS take the angle between n=0 and n=x (x can be 1,2,3,4,5,6......)
in this question n=2
by subtracting 162-132 we get 26' which is the angle between n=2 and n=2
we want the angle between n=2 and n=0 as i said before
now look at my image again, and stop making fun of it , u'll surely get it
