Hi guys!!!
I know many of the members did exceptionally well but i wanted hear from those whose results failed to meet their expectations !!

i got A's in both my subjects (addmaths and urdu B) even though i was expecting 95+ in AddMath.. Will definitely apply for a recheck!

meee got an A in Pak Studies and urdu B when was thinking of an A* !! but whatever im happy since the boundary for grade is changed and A is from 85 to 94 its okay i might have missed out by a little margin !

chck the website of cambridge!
they ve stated this .. how cum u say A is frm 85-94 ??

Firstly its Conformed that A is on 85 and A* is from 95 !!
Secondly CIE results were totally unfair, mostly for Pak-studies !!

but IBCC will convert A+ as 90 n A as 85 nah? , when they will convert grades into marks?

First of all guys, the standard of the A and the A* hasn't changed and will not change over the years. The raw marks on the paper that make up for the A and the A* remains the same throughout depending on the difficulty of the paper so it makes the grade threshold. The proof for this is the percentage of total candidates getting an A and an A* over different years is pretty much the same. A change in the UPM, that is stated sometimes on the grade sheet doesn't effect the standard of the grade or the difficulty to get it.

Last year many people, including the operator at the British Council stated that the percentile system has been ablolished and percentages decide the grade but when the official CIE document about the new A* grade came out, it was totally the opposite of what the British Council people said. So if you want to know anything, E-mail directly to the CIE and not the British Council.

But u see that if we contact CIE they hardly tell u anything and just send u some document which is irrelevant ! But we can try once on this issue !

Yes, most probably. Btw, you should leave the method of grading and just do your best in the paper. The grade is always proportional to your performance, so just give your best in the paper rather then hovering over the method of grading.
