Hi,
I recently gave my maths 0580 paper 22 and paper 42. I haven't done very good and i think there's a possibility that i'll fail.
Can someone please tell me how much marks or what grade is needed to JUST pass maths 0580 if i gave paper 22 and 42.

I have one more query, in the exam(0580) i wrote my final answers with a pen but the working that i showed under(below) the question was done with a pencil. Will this affect my overall grade.

Thanks

The marks required to get a C grade varies between every year and each version of the paper.
From the past few years, version 2 of the November series seems to be the one that requires the most marks in comparison to version 1 and version 3.

In 2011, passing threshold for Maths 0580 Nov series Paper 22 & Paper 42:
- 99 marks combined to get a C ( P22 - 51.4% and P42 - 48.5%) ---- You needed 81 marks combined to get a D

In 2012, passing threshold for Maths 0580 Nov series Paper 22 & Paper 42:
- 92 marks combined to get a C ( P22 - 47.1% and P42 - 45.4%) ---- You needed 78 marks combined to get a D

In 2013, passing threshold for Maths 0580 Nov series Paper 22 & Paper 42:
- 107 marks combined to get a C( P22 - 61.4% and P42 - 49.2%) ---- You needed 89 marks combined to get a D

If you found this year's paper much, much harder than the past papers of 22 and 42, then the passing requirement will be lower and I think you're more likely to pass

Technically in the IGCSEs, A "G" is needed to pass, which means getting a 20%, but I don't think you want that. So yeah, I'm gonna agree with ThomasT.
