    Chemistry Paper 4-theory- doubts =D

    Yeah this is what I don't get.. I mean this is what I did: I2/I- system is +0.54V and Sn2+/Sn4+ is +0.15, tin gets oxidised to Sn4+ by I2, so can't you just write: I2 + Sn2+ -> 2I- + Sn4+ Like you normally do in redox equations?

    Chemistry Paper 4-theory- doubts =D

    If you know the first 2 reactants are 1, then compare equations 1 and 4: CH3CHO stays the same, so ignore that. CH3OH increases by 1.6, so the rate also increases by 1.6. So the new rate will be 1.6. Now see H+, H+ concentration doubles and the rate changed from 1.6 to 3.2 (also doubled). What...

    Chemistry Paper 4-theory- doubts =D

    For a relative rate of 1.00, you need 0.20 CH3CHO 0.10 CH3OH 0.05 H+ Now they want you to predict the rate when all of them have a concentration of 0.20. The first one is already 0.20 so leave that. For the second one you need to 2x the concentration to get 0.20, so the rate becomes 2x. FOr...

    How was Mechanics Paper 42!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Wasn't harder than last year's June 42 IMO. Realistically I think the GT will be somewhere from 36-40.

    Mechanics M1: Post your doubt here

    From part (ii) you found that the maximum acceleration is 2 so if you consider the system as a whole, ΣF = ma P - 3150 = (200+250) * 2 P - 3150 = 900 P = 4050 N Otherwise you can just consider box B. Draw a diagram showing the resistive forces. There exists friction between box A and box B...

    Mechanics M1: Post your doubt here

    You can use the whole system to get the acceleration in one step. You can use them separately if you need to find the tension.. you just need to solve the simultaneous equations you get.

    Mechanics M1: Post your doubt here

    S1 = 30 N S2 = 50 N Take the system as a whole: total mass * acceleration = net force (3 + 2) * a = 50 - (1.6 + 4) (tension cancels out when taking the system as a whole, so don't bother considering it) 5a = 44.6 a = 8.88 ms^-2 Now just consider the motion of any particle, say A: 30 -...
