    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

The solubility product of PbCrO4 is 1.69 x 10^-14 mol^2 dm^-6. Concentrated aqueous lead(II) nitrate is added drop wise to 0.010 mol dm^-3 potassium dichromate(VI). What is the concentration of lead (II) ions when the first trace of precipitate appears?

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

    For Q1, you just integrate the given equation: 3x^-1/2 - x (I shifted the root(x) to the numerator) Integrating it gives, y = 6x^1/2 - (x^2 / 2) + c Because it passes through (4, 6), just replace x and y with 4 and 6 respectively. You'll get c as 2.. so the equation is y = 6x^1/2 - (x^2 /...

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

The answer to part (i) is 7.5, I got that. For part (ii), we use v^2 = u^2 + 2as. But u is taken as 0 instead of 5.2 and s is taken as 7.5 instead of -6.2.. why?

    Sleeping Hours...

Why do you want to reduce your sleeping hours? I don't think it will ever be good so there is no health way. You need at least 7 hours of sleep actually (depends on your age range but 7-8 hours is usually the minimum you should aim for).

Is there any need to read the books?

I don't use books either. Just teachers notes. Did get As but whats more important is that I understood (almost) everything I needed to know for the paper.

    O level computer Project.....

I dunno. I think I tried downloading it when I uploaded it to check and it worked fine. Maybe it doesn't work now because 5 or so months have passed? Not sure, but I don't have my project with me right now. :|

    SAT critical reading

Yeah, having good vocabulary really helps. If you understand the meanings of the difficult words and idioms, then honestly neither sentence completion nor the passages should be hard for you. I guarantee you your score will rise by at least 100 points if you enhance your vocabulary - I read most...

Preparing for the SAT Reasoning Test

Hm... maybe, although I think it'll take you a slightly longer amount of time to fully prepare for it than that. 3 months from scratch would probably be good, but it also depends on how much time you are willing to dedicate every day. It's not just about English, but about History, Math...

Visual Studio is a pretty great IDE IMO, at least the 2008 and 2010 versions (they are quite similar). It's very user-friendly, has a nice interfacing for making UIs and is really simple to use when writing code. The 2012 version looks quite different. It's a lot similar to how Windows 8 looks...

To watch or not to watch, THAT is the question... :S

True, that's a nice example of when assumptions are made. I was just a bit irritated by the "useless/time-wasting" comment, is all. I just happen to feel that way sometimes because the aforementioned comment doesn't apply to everyone. But I get your point. Since it applies to a majority of...

To watch or not to watch, THAT is the question... :S

I never said the author's claim was false. I just said (s)he made a false assumption. But you are right about TV News not being as 'appropriate' as Internet news or newspaper articles. I agree with that. :) As for documentaries, the ones I watch are just fine.. but yeah there are certain things...

To watch or not to watch, THAT is the question... :S

You are (or the writer is) of the false assumption that everyone who watches TV watches indecent programs. This is completely untrue. What about news? What about documentaries? What about sports? What about programs like PeaceTV that exist to provide people with knowledge? Is there anything...
