    English literature v.2 results?!

Got an A* thank god put in a lot of effort in this subject so I'm glad it paid off! Exam variant for us was kind of easy though, like the poetry selection was particularly easy, as well as the DOAS extract; the Great Gatsby extract was a bit peculiar though.

A levels aren't the only exams? (esp. CIE)

But isn't IB harder to self-study than IB though? It required more independent research and dedication, and if students don't have these types of qualities early on they'd find the whole thing difficult anyway. Well I'm not aware of the types of schools available in Pakistan but I thought that...

A levels aren't the only exams? (esp. CIE)

And you think IB is easier? It's harder than A-Levels by a landslide my friend! IB students undergo even more pressure and stress than A-Level students, and I've asked both IB and A-Level students in my school so that's where I'm getting my info from, as well as from our A-Level and IB...

    CIE has gone too far!

I went in there expecting only 2 A*s out of my 6/7 subjects and ended up getting A*s in all of them, yes even for ICT too, so it's probably you've just underestimated the tests or something.

    recommended book for igcse chemsitry??

The book you have is one of the best books for Chemistry, along with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Cambridge-Chemistry-Coursebook-International-Examinations/dp/0521153336/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1345357031&sr=8-3&keywords=igcse+chemistry I'd recommend you start early and prepare your own...

    Starting AS levels

I'd suggest Business as it's fairly an easy subject. I've done both IGCSE and AS-Level past papers at school and I've noticed that the AS paper is a bit easier as the mark schemes are less restrictive. Also, it's easy to get a grasp of the basic concepts as it's mostly just logical thinking. I...

    Which major is more interesting?

So I'm hopefully going to university next year, but I'm having difficulty deciding between these 2 main majors which I think have caught my attention: -Computer Science -Chemical Engineering Chemical engineering is more thriving in my country than CS, and the pay here is very high. Chemistry...

    BAD AS LEVEL RESULT

If you can't study independently why not try getting private tutors? Just hand him/her your syllabi and tell them to teach you the parts in the syllabi that you don't get, I know for a fact that they do help out a lot if they're qualified or have had experience.

which of these subjects shud i choose?

I think Business and accounting are the easiest out of those, and most interesting. Economics is a lot similar to business anyway, except in more technical detail and difficulty (i.e. it has a lot more depth to it). Accounting, from what I've been told, is basically all about crunching numbers...

    What subject to choose

I don't know if it's easy or not, but it's definitely interesting if you're into computers. I bought the textbook from amazon but after it arrived I discovered the british council didn't have it as a subject. So there's no way for me to do it here :/

    What subject to choose

The subjects I think I'm taking are: Chemistry, Physics, Arabic, General Studies, Math, and MAYBE Business Studies. The thing is, I haven't seen exactly what subjects for AS our school provides because I put down option choices for IB not AS, and then changed my mind in summer that I wanted to...

    What subject to choose

No it wouldn't be hard at all as long as you keep up. AS Business Studies is so similar and easy like IGCSE Business that I almost did it a year early. I'm taking subjects in AS that I haven't done in IGCSEs too, and trust me, if you study a lot independently and keep pace with the class it...

    What subject to choose

Take the 2 which you think you're good at or have a passion for, that's usually the best way. Another way would be to check your prospective university's requirements for the major you'd like and see if they have A-Level subject requirements and follow those. But it usually comes down to you and...
