Thank you so much, that was really helpful!

Redspot CIE A-Level Economics past papers.

Are they any good? Are the essay answers decent? I ask this because I'm self-teaching economics so I would like to have an overall idea of how I should structure my answers.

    calculation of the grade A*

So as long as I've gotten As at AS, I just have to make sure that I get at least 90% in the A2 exams to get an A*?

    tips required

The UK does place quite an emphasis on extra-curriculars. I suppose it would depend on what and where you're applying though. I know for sure that if you apply for medicine, extra-curriculars are needed.

    May/June 2012 exams approaching!!!

I feel the same, except I'm studying Biology (A2), Chemistry (A2), Economics (AS+A2) and Business Studies (AS). I think if you start getting very serious now, you should be able to manage it. We'll have to work very hard though. Best of luck to you! ^_^

    One word...HOW?

Just keep doing past papers! The first time I did a past paper, I was horrified because I was getting nearly everything wrong. Do as many past papers as you can (I did every single one from 2002 up until 2011) and you will eventually get the hang of it. Once you've done them all, re-do them...

    Biology Worksheet A level

I don't know where you can get worksheets, but if you're looking for some questions that will test your knowledge then past papers would be best. They'll be more helpful than worksheets. XPF has lots of past papers - just check out the site.

doin A level in One year

I'm not sure about the whole of Europe, but I know that in England A-Levels are studied for two years. You're right that they do their A-Levels in Year 13. However, they do their GCSEs (equivalent to O-Levels) in years 10 and 11. So they start college in year 12.

Ah okay. I was asking because I haven't done O-Levels so I thought there might be some stuff I needed to know. Thanks anyway! ^_^

A level Biology: Post your doubts here!

So the best way to prepare for paper 5 is just to do all the past papers? My biology teacher said there's an ATP book for O-Level biology and that's meant to be helpful. Anyone know whether this is true?

Hay guys, I just wanted to know whether we can still use the 1st edition of the CIE Business Studies book, or would it be best to buy the new edition?

A level Chemistry class tests, advice

Best advice I can give you is to do as many past papers as you possibly can. A lot of the time, the mark scheme specifies very specific words and equations you need to use in your answers. Past papers were my main revision technique, and I managed to get an A in AS chemistry. But first, make...

    Chemistry A level help

If you have the CIE A-Level chemistry book, you should just go through it and write down all the formulae and equations that you need. It's not very hard and writing things down should help you to remember them more easily. I did this for my AS exams last year, and it really helped.

We're in the same situation! I'm self-teaching the whole syllabus and have been really lazy so I'm only just starting to study properly. Best of luck! ^_^
