    chemistry problem

Err, just a little bit issue... The question says "elemental chlorine", does it not mean it should start from zero?

    Maths 9709

fx-82ES is allowed in the exam I think... At least allowed every time I attend. It would not matter since even 85ES is accepted.

Maths paper 3 (MAY june 10 paper 31)URGENT!!

The answer can be easily obtained if you use the Pythagorean Principle. ;) Here, try to find the right-angled triangle: the origin, the tangent point, and the centre of the circle - these three points form a 90-degree triangle due to the tangent. Then, the origin to the circle centre (noted...

    Physics Paper 2!!

Maybe you got confused with Young's Double Slit & the Diffraction grating. lambda = aX / D is used in Young's Double Slit - when there are ONLY TWO apertures. (Here lambda = wavelength, a = distance between the slits, X = fringe gap width, D = the distance from the Young's Double Slit to the...

    chem help

Well I think the key point in this question is about the OXIDATION STATE/NUMBER. It is clear that before and after the reaction, the oxidation state is unchanged for N, H and O. So that of S shouldn't change (i.e. remains at +4). So only in SO3 ion S has +4 oxidation state. Answer is C therefore.

In this case the tension is just P's weight, 40N How is it not 40???
  7. DragonCub

    tough mechanics question...!!!

    (i) is really easy Normal reaction = 12N - 5N * cos60 = 9.5N Total tension = 4N + 5N * sin60 = 8.33N Coefficient of friction = 8.33N / 9.5N = 0.877 (ii) Upper one: tension = 5N * sin60 = 4.33N Normal reaction = 9N - 5N * cos60 = 6.5N coefficient of friction = 4.33N / 6.5N = 0.666 (iii)...

Physics help needed For AS level

In the diagram, actually the gradient (or slope) of the curve represents the resistance. Gradient = I / V , so it equals the reciprocal (hope you know this word) of the resistance. That is, the steeper the slope, the smaller the resistance, and vice-versa. So in the diagram the smallest...

    paper 62

You don't have to care the MS's answer as long as yours is correct and REASONABLE. By now I have thought of two ways to solve part (ii). Method 1: Direct Probability Addition: The three including 2 green can be: GG-, G-G and -GG So calculate the P for each case, then add together. GG- = G-G =...

    Nucleophilic subsititution or addition?

Well, a shortcut to remember the two: There are C=C DOUBLE bonds before reaction but none after ------> addition No change to the C=C bonds or totally free of it ------> substitution There must be a double bond, that is two 'vacancies' for adding anything. Right? :P

    Maths P3 s10_qp_31.

The solution is shown in the attached image. Guess it does not differ much from the MS's answer :P In the Argard-diagram complex number field, any notations like |A-B| represents the distance between point A and B. So the question can be interpreted as: the distance from 1 to Z should not...

    help

The answer is B... Guess... L2D = 41 m calculated using Pythagorean Theory It says maximum, so at the point it is crest + crest OR trough + trough. Anyway, L2D length exceeds L1D by one wavelength. So wavelength = 1m f = 330 / 1 = 330 Hz

    (Organic) Chemistry Revision?!

And the examinations are delayed?? Hahaha... Well that's a good imagination. The organic reactions are very simple. They are classified into aliphatic reaction (functional group alternations) and aromatic reactions (involving the arene ring). The reaction chart of aliphatic (plus conditions) is...

URGENT HELP REQUIRED FOR PHYSICS AS LEVEL PAPER 2 please!!!

URGENT HELP REQUIRED FOR PHYSICS AS LEVEL PAPER 2 please!!!

Re: URGENT HELP REQUIRED FOR PHYSICS AS LEVEL PAPER 2 please To Q3 (c) (i) The ratio is 1600. This means that in the same volume, there are 1600 times as many water molecules in liquid as in gas. The "amount" or "number" is relevant to a 3-D space, while "distance" "separation" is a 1-D value...

    physxx mcq.

Simply regard the XY as a resistor, in parallel with the variable one. When the R of the variable resistor increases, the XY wire gets lower p.d. And to maintain the p.d. across XN, point N should move to the right to gain voltage. Answer is D.
  18. DragonCub

    physxx mcq.

    The three resistors are in series, so the total 5V p.d. is divided by them. Here we can simply get the p.d. across R3 = +2V - 0V = 2V p.d. across R2 = +3V - +2V = 1V and thus calculate the p.d. across R1 = +5V +3V = 2V p.d. ratio R1 : R2 : R3 = 2:1:2 Then it is easy to get the answer: C.

    need help on CHEM mCqS

Oops, very sorry I didn't notice the "ring" in the question. Cyclo ring deducts further 2 H atoms... So the number of C=C is 5, answer is A. Sorry about that! :P Well I think the answer to Q27 is C indeed. The attached image would explain it.
