    Scholarship

Guess Roots does things differently than everyone else because I've never heard of any school, let alone a decent school, to give a complete waiver on all charges.

    original certificates

I got a reply from British Council Pakistan that they have already mailed the Certificates to schools and private candidates and that you should have it by 19 August. If not then you should contact your school or British Council directly to inquire about the delay.

    Applying for Equivalence

That's not how I got my equivalence certificate, I had to submit my original certificate as per their requirement since they didn't care about the Statement of Result. It does not take a month to get the certificate, I got a reply from British Council that they have already dispatched the...

All of the schools charge you the security deposit and registration/admission fee. You get scholarships on the tuition fee as someone already mentioned.

    Getting paper rechecked..HELP!!

They hardly ever make a mistake and if they do they hardly ever accept it :/ I've seen people who got a B on 89% in the old days and got their papers re-checked hoping to get a bump to 90% and an A grade, for some the bump was done but for some it didn't happen. So it's always a 50-50 with these...

    AS or A-level???????????

I recommend complete A Level since it saves times, money and increases maturity of a student which is required to tackle interlinked topics.

    Getting paper rechecked..HELP!!

In my opinion there really isn't a point in getting it rechecked since you don't even know what percentage/percentile you got since CIE hasn't released that information in this session. To your second question ofcourse there is a fee involved and it's not easy on the pockets either.

New MCAT Policies for Medical Students???

Yeah and this 50% A Level syllabus and 50% FSC syllabus seems too good to be true. You are right about the Merit disadvantage. Therefore, weighing all the options, it's probable that FSC would still be the better choice for Medical students.
