a general question
Both Microbiology and Biotechnology don't require alot of maths, so you can choose any of these two course and leave your fear of Maths behind. :P Whereas, petroleum engineering will definitely require you to complete A'levels Mathematics. -

Advantages of doing AS and A2 together
That can only be confirmed by the universities. Obviously, the transcripts sent from school are difficult to be believe in, whereas AS level is an official result from the CIE. But it totally depends on the universities criteria. -

LOL! He is talking about those who lie about their grades. :P Hiding preparatory techniques is common during and before the exams. That's not a big deal. -

@destined007: Well said. If you are well prepared, the exam would always seem easier. So just make sure you have a good grasp on all of the concepts involved. You can ensure this by practicing as many past papers as you can.- OakMoon!

I mean the TOTAL time of ALL the three papers. Add the individual times of each paper, and if that is more than three hours then you need to contact CIE. For example if the Paper 1 and Paper 2 of EM make up 2 hours and 30 minutes and then the paper of Combined Sciences is of 1 hour and 30...- OakMoon!

Private Candidate Form Filling help.
You have to submit the fees in CASH in a standar chartered branch in your city as told by the rules in the form. You have to only make a pay-order if you don't have a standard chartered branch in your city.- OakMoon!

You can write the name of the surah instead of the nmber, since the numbers are difficult to remember. But don't write the verse in an indirect speech. Quranic quotes can't have variations in them and they have to quoted exactly as they are. You quote hadith indirectly but never Quranic verses.- OakMoon!

Yes. 2 months are more than enough. If Statistics is the only subject you are appearing for, then 2-3 hours/day is more than enough. First you need to cover the course using a book, and then start doing the past papers. Do 1 or 2 past papers a day, and you'll be done with all the papers by...- OakMoon!

Probably! I just deduced it from the fact that IBCC protested the printing of percentages on the Statement of Result last year. If they don't use it then why protest against it. :S -
