    ShoULd i drop CHEMISTRY ?

Chemistry is essential for Medicine and Dentistry. Instead of taking the easy way out of dropping a subject, you should work harder and make sure you cover up the grades that you lost. You can reappear in this November if you are confident enough to recover your grades but don't drop Chemistry...

    The unexpected!!!

Yes, most probably. Btw, you should leave the method of grading and just do your best in the paper. The grade is always proportional to your performance, so just give your best in the paper rather then hovering over the method of grading.

How to apply for recheck.. please help!!

I am not sure about that since I never had a paper rechecked. Which is the option B? You can go for the service 1 or 2, depending on the money you want to spend. But I think a full-clerical recheck would be more than enough.

    geostationary orbits>

I think he can read that in a book, too. :P Geostationary orbit is one in which the satellite has the same period(24 hours) as that of the rotation of Earth on its on axis. This makes the satellite seem stationary when viewed from Earth. As simple as that. You can add the details.

    The unexpected!!!

First of all guys, the standard of the A and the A* hasn't changed and will not change over the years. The raw marks on the paper that make up for the A and the A* remains the same throughout depending on the difficulty of the paper so it makes the grade threshold. The proof for this is the...

    O levels- Help

The most important consideration for admission into LUMS is their own entry test, if you ace that then you have a chance at getting in. I have seen guys with 5As and they are now in LUMS. Though, you may reappear in one or two subjects that you got a B in to increase your chances.

    distinctions

No they weren't announced in November but in January because I did GET one. Plus, you can find the articles over the internet and they are dated 28th January. I also have the official list of the achievers who got it. In the past two years distinctions have been announced in January following...

Did ANYONE here get his/her percantages with results?

All those posting their percentages are making them up. :P But there is a possibility that percentages were printed in a country other than Pakistan.

GUYS CHECK THIS OUT AND TELL ME THAT IS A* AT 95%?

OH! Now I know what you are talking about! But shifting of UPM took place last year, too. They had to fit in the new grade. Didn't they? Awein making me confused! The A had a new UPM of 80, previously being at 90. Wasn't it obvious? :P

GUYS CHECK THIS OUT AND TELL ME THAT IS A* AT 95%?

Ahan! Probably! :P But as I said, it doesn't changes the standard of the grade!
  18. OakMoon!

GUYS CHECK THIS OUT AND TELL ME THAT IS A* AT 95%?

But that happened last year. :P Plus, I don't thing they shifted the UPM. They just stopped printing it, otherwise, they don't give a damn to IBCC. It's not like they'll do everything forced upon on them.
  19. OakMoon!

Did ANYONE here get his/her percantages with results?

No. Percentages won't be printed either on the statement of result or the final certificate. IBCC protested against the printing of percentages, hence, the CIE banned it, sadly!
  20. OakMoon!

    distinctions

Guys, it takes atleast 5-6 months for the distinctions to be announced. CIE releases a statement listing the names of all the students with the distinctions. Certificates are dispatched to your respective centres. The distinctions for May/June 2010 were announced in January 2011. So you will...
