@MAVtKnmJ: It's all about luck. A friend of mine got a B, and no percentages, and yet when he got only one component of his Islamiat paper rechecked, it turned out to be an A in the end.

    AS or A-level???????????

There are two ways to complete your A'levels. Either, give 2 to 3 of the 4-5 papers of a certain subject in the first year that is then called AS level and you get a grade for that which is later combined with the grade of the rest of the 2 papers that you give in the second year (A2) to make up...

    a general question

Maths is essential for most of the universities and you cannot drop it once you've been admitted. In USA, you don't get a conditional offer but you still need your final A'levels grades.

    Help!

You can easily get scholarships in Canadian Universities which include Waterloo, UoT and McGill. As far as CalTech and Pensylvania are concerned, you'll need a really exceptional SAT score and a really good application to even get into them. Btw, IELTS is not a compulsion. It's an English...

    AICT or Computing?

AICT! It's more fun and has the same credit as that of Computer studies which gets hectic if you have more important subjects in A'levels.

    Scholarship

Scholarship is given on the basis of As and not A*s, and usually you get a scholarship for 8As or above for most of the schools that do offer it. @anythin576: You do have to pay for these things, since only the tution fee is waived off.

    What's your secret?

Once, about 30 to 40 days are left before your exams, start doing pastpapers of all subjects together. You can either give one day to a whole subject or do 2 or 3 papers of each subject in a day. This keeps you from getting bored and gives you a chance to do the subject that you are actually...

    Help me please :)

I suggest you to work harder in A2 and hopefully you'll get a get overall grade. I would recommend you to keep sociology, even if you get a B in this subject, it provides you with diversity. Keeping the minimum number of subjects i.e. is going to deprive you of the credit that you can get from...

    REALLY IMP.please help me!!

Repeating your subjects along with your A2 in the May/June session could also be considered. This will give you time to clear up BMAT and stuff in October/November. Many students do that by giving all of their AS and A2 subjects together in the same session at the end of 2 years and they do well...

    Alevel subjects help

The names of the subjects in A'levels seems so luring that you would like to keep them all. :P But you shouldn't go for anything that just SEEMS interesting. Get a book and check out the syllabus and then keep it. Law and Psychology, both are quite studious subject. You have to read alot and...

    As and A2 resulttt

By adding your previous percentages from AS to the new percentages of A2 and making a combined grade for A'levels. Even those who give both AS and A2 session give separate papers but they get one result and not two separate results.

    ShoULd i drop CHEMISTRY ?

But it doesn't matter. Many people give AS and A2 together. I will do the same this coming May/June, since I have seen people ace their exams even when they give all the papers together. YES! You can't opt for dentistry if you drop chemistry. It is compulsory.

    help needed..

You need to reappear in October/November and then you can give your A2 exams in June. For now, you need to give your 100% to your studies. Work hard and you'll be able to recover the grades you lost. You just can't have a subject rechecked when you have an E because there is no chance that it...
