i wrote that it fits
for cone volumes its k^3 and then you subtract
probability its smthn with 1xxx over 3xxx idon't remember
angle between line and base i used tanx=1.7/2.5
sequences a=-.25 b=2.25

I wrote that it fits by placing it diagonally since it's 2.95 cm long and the diagonal line was 3 or something. I hope it's right.

so( -0.25*(1)^3)+(2.25*(1)^2)+1 all this should equal 3
now for the second one (-0.25*8)+(2.25*4)+2 should =9
these numbers 3 and 9 are given
lcm for 60 and 48 should equal to 240

ok what about .........0.5X2^3 + 1.5X2^2 + 2 = 12
and actually the total of the first 2 diagrams was 3+9 =12 !
