Still confused ! Let's see ! Btw thanks for helping ! ;)

hehe i am really sorry for making it confusing i myself don't really understand the ionizing thing cuz my teacher said once and i wasn't really paying much attention..>_<
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_salt_water_rust_faster
i think this will help :)

oh and this is from another source

Iron rusts faster in saltwater. Charged particles called ions accelerate the chemical process that we know as rust. Saltwater contains more ions than freshwater and is, therefore, more conducive to the rusting process of iron than freshwater.

Mhmm, I need help in ths paper : http://www.xtremepapers.me/CIE/Cambridg ... 8_qp_6.pdf

What will the results be in q5 c)iii) & d)iii) since both are not sulphates :(

Anyone willing to help me :)
Few drops of HCl and then 1cmcube of barium sulfate which means neutralisation reaction .. So nothing changes or no reaction
Then for d part .. The L is iron .. Cz yellow in colour and ph3 .. So add to it which may be insoluble so no reaction changes .
P.S that's the help from my side .. Don't totally depend upon this answer .. That what I think :)
I tried :good:

for c)iii..there will be no reaction because HCL and BrCL i use my logic in saying they both have chloride so no way they would react ( i know its stupid but works :p)

Hey,

Can you help me out in this?
http://www.xtremepapers.me/CIE/Cambridge IGCSE/0620 - Chemistry/0620_s05_qp_6.pdf

the last question ...number 8

not sure what to answer it like.

BR,
Xenarra

you draw two flasks and and attach it to a gas syringe and put a stop watch between the two fasks
(i can't really describe the digrams so :/)

anyway so you explain that u bring the two catalyst that must be of the same mass and surface area and use the same volume and concentration for the hydrogen peroxide. you have to start at the same time and measure the amount of oxygen.
the one that produces more oxygen in the same time interval is the best catalyst
;/

i have a 2 questions
so why do we need to heat a metal oxide when making excess base method..why don't we heat with the other reactants?

and what is the difference between a test tube and a boiling tube :)

Measure the amount of peroxide .. Then .. Add measured metal oxide to it ( mass) .. Then time the reaction to produce the amount of O2 .. Then re do the exp with the other oxide .. And them compare their results and state the difference .

Boiling tube is fatter (wider) than test-tube
boiling tube can withstand more heat that test tube...

Idk the 1st questions answer of yours .. Second one is boiling tube is larger in appearance it can hold up to 50cm cube I guess .. Bigger than test tube (wider) .
