can hardened be turn rude, and appointed be given
i also wrote for
hardened: to increase strength
appointed:selected
are these right too?????
can we right bad fr tedious
here 5c is right as u linked it with her action, btw,i hv got most answers same as yours..ok these were my answers:
1 (a) She was going to have an operation
(b) The writer felt sad to see the baby didn't need many requirement for the hospital will provide more necessary requirement
(c) (i) She stood dumbly
(ii) She got round to speaking, asking if she could see her baby.
2 (a) (i) There might be no nurse all time
(ii) She might not be fed properly
(b) She believed the hospital would treat her better
(c) This is because the danger of severity had been removed
3 (a) lethargy
(b) (i) she had endured separation from her baby for a long time
(ii) Octavia's operation might had not been successful
4 The senior nurse gave her the surgeon report in which she should have not let the writer seen it.
5 (a) the nurses thought the writer might had gone mad
(b) the nurses had the patients in possessions to take care with whereas the writer only wanted her baby with her
(c) She put her arms on her shoulders and exerted great pressure
6 The senior nurse forced the writer to leave the hospital
/20 ?
anyways thanks for telling i hope he don't deduct my mark.......for appointed selected is okay i guess, but decided or given might have been better. you will get the mark for this.
for hardened, you have written to increase strength it might be right if we see the word itself, but in context it doesn't seem right as the sentence was about the nurses' voice getting hardened (or something like that) so i am afraid you might lose your mark on this one.
hey GUYS especially syed(1995) is this opinion correct
"The shop till you drop suggested silly robot like behaviour"
hoping 5 (c) there are two possible answers. because exerting a great pressure on the writer's pressure is also one of the ways how the senior showed she was annoyed.1 (a) She was going to have an operation
(b) Since the baby herself was small, her clothes and food requirements were also very small
(c) (i) She was asking to see her baby which shows her nervousness
(ii) She did not even ask again to see her baby.
(As the question calls out for behaviour , I think we should answer as an observer)
2 (a) (i) There might be no nurse all time
(ii) She might not be fed properly
(b) She was too nervous before to think about that.
(c) This is because the danger of (life) had been removed. (I think life is wrong )
3 (a) lethargy
(b) (i) she had tolerated separation from her baby for a long time which was stretching even more.
(ii) She was worried whether Octavia's operation was successful or not.
4 The senior did a silly mistake of showing the surgeon's report to the writer.( I didn't write
any reason since I was afraid that it might AWARD me 0/2. Thus I confirmed 1 mark at least)
5 (a) the nurses thought the writer might ask to see the baby.
(b) they had every thing which was precious for the writer but the writer had nothing except her intention which was to see the baby. (Every1 is saying I have thought more than I SHOULD have thought on this qs.) I think I will get 0/2. Am I right?
(c) She was yelling and pushing the writer towards the door.
6 Surgeon was white with anger because the writer was crying to see the baby.
Summon: Gather
appointed: Given
preoccupied : busy
hardened : became strict
poignant: pain
Please can anyone tell me how much marks will i get?
/20 ?
hey, is tiring ok for tedious? No sorry, read previous marking schemes bad has always been in the Award 0 column. and it doesn't fit the context either.
