what??!Here's a brief part of my answer:
Crush up an exactly same volume of each seed. (say 2 cm3). Place both in separate test-tubes, which are in turn placed in water baths at the exact same temperatures of around 37 degrees. Add an exactly same amount of pepsin to both test-tubes. Making use of the Biuret test (NaOH solution followed by CuSO4), the time taken for all the protein to be digested in both test-tubes is recorded (at regular intervals, and then the final time, when all the protein has been digested). A graph can be plotted with the results. The one in which more time has been taken for all the protein to disappear hence contains more protein than the other.
I never learnt about this, just improvised. Therefore I am doubtful about it.
what??!
this isn't the test for protein! :O
u really wrote dis ?
in a past paper i did a question which asked to compare carbohydrates in two fruits(in question it was stated dat both contain carbohydrates)Lol ikr. I wrote the test for protein first. But, see, the question doesn't ask to to test for the PRESENCE of protein. It already tells you that protein is present in both. Instead, it asks you to COMPARE the protein contents.
I wrote about
1. A relatively big bone called the humerus in the upper forearm and a similar one called the femur in the upper leg.
2. Two adjacent bones called the radius and ulna in the lower arm, and similarly, two adjacent bones in the lower leg called the tibia and the fibula.
3. Bones of the hands (carpals, metacarpals, and phalanges) arranged in the same way as bones of the feet (tarsals, metatarsals, and phalanges)
OH GOD!OMG! Our teachers never taught us the femur, tibia and fibula! I wrote that the humerus is in both bones and crazy stuff
in a past paper i did a question which asked to compare carbohydrates in two fruits(in question it was stated dat both contain carbohydrates)
and in the mark scheme the reducing sugar test was applied and the sugar content was measured by the color of the solution
so i think here we also had to do the same
yeah!I wrote the protein test and at the last I said a darker shade of purple could indicate that it has more protein
yeah!
thats ryt!
no its p62I did paper 62 but these questions werent there! are u discussing 61??
no protein test also has different coloursLol. But does the colour change gradually in the protein test or does it just turn purple straight away? Rofl. Thats my question exactly. In benedict'stest it changes gradually from.one colour to another and then yet another
.....but here?
no protein test also has different colours
i think so it turns lilac then violet
yeah whatsoever!Okay then
yeah this is what i wrote about:Did you write about the Biuret test? I invented an experiment during the last 5mins
and u wil be getting bony marks!!!just wrote there are bones in both.. it is tru rit?
are u sure dat will b correct?yeah!
thats ryt!
