q8, how do we know the answer ?
It's said that when the thermometer is placed above steam, the temperature becomes 100 c. In this case, the 100 c is on the 22cm mark. Going down by 2cm will be like going down by 10 c. in a magnet, the magnetic field lines are ALWAYS from the north to the south.
the compass aligns itself according to the magnetic field.
so, only where the compass' arrow is pointing away from the north pole and toward the south pole is the correct option
ie ans = A.
