Here are some tips from me for studying Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat which could be
helpful
I got A* in Pakistan Studies and A in Islamiyat
Islamiyat
You probably think islamiyat is cramming and nothing else. Well buddy you re wrong. Its cramming+understanding. So here are some basic tips for getting an A* in islamiyat
1) Firstly, increase your writing speed. It might sound tough but its beneficial. The exam of islamiyat is 1 hr, 30 min and you have to write as quickly as possible. Therefore to increase your writing speed, you should practice questions in the time limit. Time division is essential. 10-13min for Q1,almost 22-25 minutes for the rest 4 questions. This ll leave you 5 to 7 minutes for rechecking. Practice especially 10 markers in 16 to 18 minutes via stopwatch
2) Read from as many sources as you can (if you have much time) or if you don't, read from Yasim Malik and/or Mustafa Draper. You can also read from the best isl notes of Muzzamil Mehmood
http://www.mediafire.com/file/b7lampt2koaw9g8/Islamiyat_notes_by_Sir_Muzzamil_Mehmood.rar
3) Learn as much quotations as possible. Examiners give a higher grade to those answers which have more references. The best of learning references is by writing and repeatedly reading
4)For Q1 of both papers, ratta is unnecessarily except the quotation. You get the answer from the passage on both a and b parts. Also dont use "should" in b part as it gives bad impression on the examiner. Use alternative words like "Ought to,must, required to" The answer is created from the passage e.g in Surah Ikhlas " He begets not, nor is born". Meaning no physical relations with anyone and no son and father.
5)For 10 marker, you need to write as much as you remember about that event/article/pillar etc. Reference must be provided and you must give the required detail. Muzzamil notes have all the necessary details( write in own words)
6) For 4 marker, your evaluation skills are discussed so no ratta. You may or may not provide references. You have evaluate why something is imp to Muslims etc. The answer is deduced from your mind. e.g could Quran be the only source of guidance if there was no hadith. You can say that if hadith was not there, the Quran would be misunderstood as many verses required commentary. IThe haidhh also provided laws which the quran did not fully speak about e.g Zakat. Etc
7)Do all the syllbus and dont depend upon guess papers. You can never rely upon them as if you do and no question comes, boy you are screwed.
8)Once you have done the syllabus, go through past papers
http://www.mediafire.com/file/pe2bkud6i89svc3/Islamiyat_past_papers_09-18.rar/fileDo as much as you can.
8)Read every question very carefully, CAIEs can trick students. Read the questions vert carefully for the 1st minute and decide which ones to do
9)Lastly believe in yourself Also Dua. Islamiyat is easy but it still requires hardwork and practice. So give it your all and IA youll achieve and A*

Pakistan Studies
History and Culture of Pakistan
Reading history is like reading a book. Its interesting and attractive(for most people).
1)Again read from as many sources as possible. , Mainly Nigel Kelly and Smith but just don't stick to these. Another book is Farooq Naseem Bajwa So try to read from different sources
1)Try to keep this timing,30 min for Q1, 25 for Q2 and 29 for Q3. This ll leave you 5 mins for recheck
http://www.cambridgeinternational.o...ge-o-level-pakistan-studies-paper-1-2059-.pdf
2)For 4 marker, you just write 4 true facts and you get 4/4 marks. This is the easiest one. This can be done in 2 minutes. Be sure you count the facts and you can write till 6 facts so you have no chance of losing marks
3)For 7 marker, you have to explain 3 reasons . These questions always start with "Why". e.g why was bengal partitioned in 1905?
A: Bengal was partitioned because it of the terrain which had deep marshy areas, high populated regions and which made it hard to govern as a single unit. The governor could not make a tour of the whole of Begal.
Secondly, there was also the difference of Languages and civilization of the natives of West Bengal and East Bengal. The natives of West Bengal considered themselves superior in civilization to the resident of East Bengal. The Condition demanded for the division of Provinces.
Lastly, the division of Bengal was the need of the time to develop trade in East Bengal and to promote the Port of Chittagong, which could be done only by division of the Provinces.
4) For 14 marker, you have explain 5-6 reasons and give a sound conclusion. You must start with the supporting statement. "The main reason for the decline of the mughals was arrival of the British.Do you agree? Give reasons." In this you have to start with mentioning the reason above first and then move to other reasons e.g
There are a few types of questions that come. Successful and unsuccessful questions. In these you have to write successes and faliures.( with the statement the question supports) Write successes in one Para and faliures in the nexr(You can also write in more paragraphs if you wish. Then provide a sound conclusion . Then there are achievements, reasons questions. Do the same. Write 5-6 reasons and provide a good ending.
5)For source-based questions, always infer from the source, especially the text q1(a) part.
6) Its not about how much info you have but how and where you use that information.

FAQ; Should i or should i not attend academy?
Academy sessions of Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat are usually in 5 sessions.
First is Summer session(June-Aug),then past paper/test session in September, then autumn session(Oct- Dec),then Winter session(Jan-Mar) and the final past paper/test session in Apr). The crash courses usually cost PKR 23000(each sub:pak studies and Islamiyat) and last 2-3 months while the test sessions cost 15000. In the crash course, they give you notes and complete the whole syllabus in 3 months. In the test session which is preparation for O/N and M/J, you are given answers to past papers and also important questions and exam tips. 3-4 days before the exam , a workshop is conducted by the teachers in which guess papers and last day tips are told. It usually costs PKR 1000.
If you want to attend it, you should as they tell you tips that are not usually told in school and the way of teaching, especially Sir Muzzamils is better. However, if you are exceptionally brilliant student and can manage without it, there is no need.

I'd suggest write 2-4 paragraphs for sucess and then 3-4 paragraph for failures and then the last one for a conclusion. basically 7 paragraphs are required but u can write 8 too. Also really helpful notes brother <3

yes yes as long as you’ve covered the syllabus previously for school exams you should be alright. take it from me who still has to do the Holy prophet’s life after 5 AH, surahs, history of the quran and personalities along with all of p2 😍. I would suggest you take around 2 days for the Prophet’s life, 1 day to do the surahs and all possible topics in the compulsory Q2 in p1, 1 or half a day for the important personalities and you should be good. So P1 will take 4 days, for p2: 1 day for the hadiths and their compilation etc (topics in compulsory Q2), 3-4 days for the caliphs, 1 day each for pillars and articles so that would take 6 days maximum. 6+4 days=10 days which means you’ll be done by 29th september or before(dw the time it’ll take you will most probably be less than what I’ve written, as that is the maximum time you can spend doing the topics). which leaves 2 days for intense past paper practice on time!! also use muzzamils notes for P1 it’ll save even more time and you’ll do all the possible questions that can come alongside so the only thing you’ll have to worry about is time management later!! good luck man, and remember A* in islamiyat in at 61-69% so you can do it as long as you try hard!!!!

i would suggest you read over the events in the book as if its a story, memorise any important dates, events, points, and then go over topical questions on each topic, memorise their answer formats and pointers(most are the same but the wording of the q is different and qs are repeated a lot)... usman hameeds topical solved pp till 2017 should help as nearly all possible qs are covered in it... honestly, memorizing is essential in history as it can be very dull to understand sometimes! good luck, i have my exams in about 4 days now haha dont leave everything last minute like me im a wreck

history because a lott of answers have points/reasons in the ms you won't find in the books. islamiyat you should def do from Sir Muzammils notes, as it has all possible questions on each topic(you can find them online easily), and for geography, the book by huma naz sethi is very nice and also do a lot of geography past papers for practice!!!!
