can anyone plzz tell me how to differentiate under root (5x+4)

Well that's very simple. Firstly you should call it "Square Root" and not under root because that is the proper term.

Secondly convert the term like this:

[5x+4]^1/2 <<< that's to the power one by two/half.

Now you can use the formula:

(function)^n >>> n(function)^n-1 MULTIPLIED BY (derivative of function)

its a simple question........
first change the given equation into y=(5x+4)^1\2 which is in the form of (ax+b)^n
and we do have the formula of differentiating such equation with a general formula,
dy\dx = n(ax+b)^n-1 * a

Similarly in the above case you would get its differentiation as
dy\dx = 1/2(5x + 4)^-1/2 * 5
i.e. dy\dx = 5\2(5x + 4)^1/2

thats it but remember that such general formula can b applied only in the case of (ax + b)^n........ not in other case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U can write under root (5x+4)as( 5x+4)^1/2 and differentiate it by using {an(ax+b)^n-1} since it is in the form (ax+b)^n.Got itt
