    Am not disagreeing with most of your answers.. However, the question stated that several students did the experiment with REASONABLE CARE. A question, that is almost similar to it, came in the past papers. In my own opinion, they are saying that the students did it ALMOST perfectly so any errors...

The equation doesn't apply for one diagram individually ( except for the first one ) , but it applies for the total number of the lines in the first n diagrams. That is, (0.5x2^3)+(1.5x2^2)+2=number of 1cm lines in diagram 1...

    Current is the rate of flow of charge. So if you're answer is that the capacitor stored current, then in another way you're is.. A capacitor stores the rate of flow of charge?
