What do you think will come up in Chemistry 32? :)

I got a negative value, but my original answers for enthalpy change were either way very low :/ 0.0103 KJ and 0.0490 KJ :/ My temperature change wasn't big

    Statistics, Mechanics or Pure??

Pure or Statistics. Mechanics is more of a physics sort of math.

    GT

That's for an A. For an A*, I think both had to be above 201/250 or 201/260 roughly. You can check yourself by looking at the GT of 2011 and 2012 (Oct + May June). They have two pages of the lists of the scores you need to get for A or A*

    GT

For Math A level, average amount of marks to get to still get an A is around 175-190/250. For Chem A level, average amount of marks to get to still get an A is around 160-180/260. Both depend on the papers, and if they were easy or hard. Just aim to not lose more than 60 marks in Maths, and not...

    sequences

    1st term = a 2nd term = a-9 third term = ar^2 Sum = a-9 + ar^2 = 30 When you make r the subject of the equation you get (r^2 = 39/a - 1) Then you substitute r in the sum equation, and you get a :)

As long as you get over 92 overall, then why not? My friend got As in p1 and p2, and a C in practical chemistry, but an A overall.

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

We'll just have to wait and see, but I'm pretty sure I double triple checked number of moles EDIT: I asked my friends that took the exam, and we all wrote Pa because it's 10 on right, 9 on left
  13. HubbaBubba

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

It can't be, because there are 6 + 4 moles on the right side, and 5 + 4 moles on the left side. If it had to be in atm then it would be atm not atm^-1. But isn't it in Pa? The question was in Pa I was sure :(

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

    Really? :O OH SNAP :c

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

I don't remember sorry... If you remember the number of moles on each side of the equation, then I can solve it again. I think it was Pa?

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

Yup I did the correct method on each and every question, but when the answer was 0.79, i rounded it to 0.8 and so on. The only thing I rounded to 3 sf was the last bit. Everyone got like 43.3 or 43.4 while I got 44.6

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

No actually I was talking about paper 21 - The number of moles question... I'm taking 32 in a week
  18. HubbaBubba

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

Oh man :/ How much marks would I lose exactly? Each question was 1 mark! The total marks were like 8 marks!
  19. HubbaBubba

    Quick Chemistry doubt about moles!

When we calculate the number of moles in a 6 step question, and we round it to 2 sf, but in the marking scheme it rounds it to 3 sf, would we get marks for it, or not? Because in my exam I rounded it to 2sf, so the final answer was 1% higher than everyone elses...
